In the previous part we said that Iblis has a program for each person individually. As soon as a person is born, be it male or female, Iblis gives birth to two shaitans who stand next to this person to seduce him. And the hadith says that Iblis lays eggs and hatches them…
And here the following is important. Iblis’s program is not carried out simply by seducing individual people into crimes or sins. What benefit does Iblis gain if he seduces someone into lying, for example, or adultery, if this person can then sincerely repent, and all efforts will go to waste?
And here in brackets we need to say a few words about repentance, tawba, and its conditions in Islam. Tawba itself is the most important weapon of the descendants of Adam against Iblis. As we saw when Adam said to Allah: “You gave such power to Iblis, but what about me and my descendants?” Allah answered him: “The gates of repentance will be open for you until the soul reaches the throat.” That is, no matter what sins we commit, Allah will forgive them, provided that we are sincere in repentance. Taubah is performed as follows: one must say “astaghfirullah” a hundred times and make a firm intention never to return to this sin. And the hadith says that if a believer has committed a sin, Allah gives him seven or ten hours to repent. If he performs tawba during this time, his sin will not be recorded at all. That is, the angel who records sins will not record this sin for him at all, even if it was committed. If a person repents after this period, Allah orders the angel to hide this record, and it will not be presented to him on the Day of Judgement. This does not mean that the sin remains without a trace. Yes, a person will not be asked about it, but the trace of the sin remains in his nature, in his creation. It is like if a blood stain is washed off a white garment, it will not become white as it was before, a trace will remain. But this trace can also be washed away by other deeds, including the ziyarat of Hussein (A).
Perhaps someone will ask: what if I committed tawba, and then returned to this sin again? Imam Sadiq (A) says: there is no problem with this if you repent again, and Allah loves those who repent. That is, a person, for example, committed a sin, sincerely repented, promised Allah never to return to this sin, but after some time he was again overcome by nafs ammara and shaitan, and he committed the same sin again. Then one must again sincerely repent, and it will be accepted, insha Allah, provided that this is not a game. That is, it should not be that a person says: I will commit sins, and then repent someday, and Allah will forgive me all of this. Firstly, committing sins can lead to Iblis taking possession of this person so much that he will forget about repentance altogether. Secondly, no one is immune from dying before repenting.
And here there is a big problem, because there is an important rule that applies here, which sounds like this: a person appears before Allah in the state in which he was at the moment of his death. That is, for example, a person was righteous and a believer all his life, but, say, ten minutes before his death, he abandoned the faith. That’s it, he will appear before Allah as a kafir. For eternity, he will be a kafir. And vice versa, a person was a sinner and an unbeliever all his life, but a minute before his death he repented and accepted Islam. That’s it, he will appear before Allah as a Muslim and without sins…
It’s like in Word, if we write a document, we can write a thousand pages, make any changes, but the version on which you saved the document and closed it is saved. You save, close the document – that’s it, it is saved in the state it was in at the moment of closing, and it is impossible to return it back.
So, Iblis knows that tawba washes away all sins. All his many years of work on this person can be nullified in one moment if he repents. And therefore, he acts not only on the personal level of each person. He has a program for all of humanity, he acts on the level of society and power. And this is very important.
Remember what Imam Sadiq says: “He has no power over the descendants of Adam, except waswas and calling to the false path.”
That is, the most important means of Iblis is the creation of false paths for humanity. And there are a huge number of these paths. Be careful, this is very important! The path of truth is always one, just as God is only one. Allah says in Surah Yunus: fa maza baAda l-hakki illa azzalal – “What can come after the truth except error?”
This is the path of Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the path of the Wilayat of Ahl al-Bayt, which is also the path of all the prophets and successors from Adam to the Day of Judgement. So, the path of truth is only one. This is the path of Allah. However, the minhaj of Iblis, the method of Iblis is not like that. Iblis does not create one path so that opposite to the Divine path lies the opposite path of Iblis. This is not so. Iblis creates many paths. And here is the trap that most of those who talk or write about Satan, his plans, his influence on man and history fall into. They try to determine some one path or center from which, in their opinion, all the influence of Iblis spreads. Such are all conspiracy theories… For example, some priesthood has allegedly been corrupting humanity since time immemorial, acting as an instrument of Iblis… Or Freemasonry… Or something else…
In fact, Shaitan wants people to understand everything so primitively. In reality, he never puts all his eggs in one basket. He is much smarter and more cunning than that. Iblis acts in all systems and ideologies at once, which may even outwardly oppose each other, except for the ideology of Ahl al-Bayt. For example, you are tired of the Catholic Church system with all its abuses – we will create a secular ideology of enlightenment for you, we will make the French Revolution. If you don’t want to be there – come here. Tired of capitalism – we will make you socialism. Whereas both are under the wilayat of Shaitan. In reality, you have simply replaced one system of lies with another, but in essence nothing has changed.
Iblis built his buildings for all types of people, for all tastes and morals. If you are a worker, here is socialism. If you are middle class, here is liberalism. If you are one of the oppressed nations, here is nationalism. If you are one of the oppressor nations, here is racism or fascism. You go out of one door and immediately enter another. This is the system of Iblis. He plays on all the tables at once.
For each group of people with the preferences characteristic of this group, he creates a special school. If you want science, you will be presented with the most insane stupidity in the shell of the most refined academic science. If you want mysticism, you will be given esotericism of all kinds and flavors. If you want renunciation of the near world and asceticism, you will be given such a renunciation of the world that will be worse than any debauchery. If you want tawhid, you will be given Wahhabism, which will shout about tawhid day and night and at the same time destroy tawhid in the name of tawhid itself. With “Allahu Akbar” they cut off the head of Imam Hussein (A)! With the slogan of tawhid they cut off the head of tawhid… Even if you want to fight the shaitan, they will present this fight to you in such a way that it will be the most real Satanism.
In other words: everything except the fortress, which is called “Wilayat Ahl ul-Bayt” – all these are different forms of seduction of the shaitan. There is only one true path – this is the wilayat Ahl ul-Bayt, which is the wilayat of all the prophets. “Wilayat Ali is My fortress, and whoever enters this fortress is protected from My punishment.” This wilayat is the secret of the words of Allah, said to the angels: “I know what you do not know.” That is, I will place them, Adam and the descendants of Adam, inside this wilayat, and he will win in the kingdom of Mahdi and Rajat.
And let us not be misled by the fact that these ideologies, teachings and schools usually refer to goodness, beauty, love, freedom. Iblis never presents evil as evil, darkness as darkness. He always wraps his lies in a beautiful shell. “Makes promises,” as it is said in the Quran. His main method is tazi’in, “embellishment.” The Quran says: “And Iblis embellished their deeds for them.” Shaitan never shows himself in the guise of an enemy of the human race. He always shows himself as a “good advisor,” as he showed himself to Adam and Eve. Allah has placed in man a fitrah (natural quality), which draws him to rationality, to truth, to justice, to beauty. Such is the very nature of the human being. And therefore, Shaitan never presents his plans as they are. He always wraps them in a shell of what man strives for. He cannot directly fight man’s fitrah. He is not able to change the creation of man, he does not have such power. And therefore he cannot plant evil as evil, oppression as oppression, abomination as abomination. Then no one would follow him. Therefore his main method is distortion, giving everything a different meaning than it really is. To turn evil into a shell of good, good into a shell of evil. And therefore Iblis is the father of deception.
In the Surah of Women, Allah conveys his words: “And I will command them, and they will change the creation of Allah.” What does it mean “change the creation of Allah”? The Hadith says: that is, they will change the religion of Allah, for the sake of which He created this creation. “We have created mankind and jinn only so that they may worship Us.”
So, Iblis does not simply encourage people to sin: he inspires them to create movements, ideologies and religions that fight the religion of truth – openly or covertly, explicitly or implicitly. They offer themselves instead of the path of truth. This is Iblis’s main method. And for this, he uses individuals who are called in the Quran “Awliya Shaytan” – the saints of Satan, the viceroys of Satan, the friends of Satan – the word “Awliya” has several meanings.
In the 121st verse of Surah Al-Khasrat, Allah says: inna shshayatina la-yuhuuna ila awliya’ihim – “the shaitans give revelation to their awliya'”, their vicegerents, their friends. Here, the same word is used that is used in the Quran to denote the revelation that Allah gives to the prophets – wahiy. That is, Iblis also gives revelation to his friends.
Imam Baqir (A) says: “There is no day or night in which all the jinn and shaitans would not visit the imams of error, and the same number of angels visit the Imam of the straight path. And when the night of Qadr comes, the angels descend on the master of affairs – that is, on the Imam of truth – and the same number of shaitans visit the master of error, bringing him slander and lies.”
That is, against every divine movement, Iblis tries to organize his own shaitan movement. For example, on the night of Qadr, when the angels descend upon the Lord of Affairs, he sends his army of shaitans upon his Lords of Affairs, upon the Imams of Misguidance from among the people, and gives them revelation, makes suggestions to them, and they see visions and receive thoughts and plans, and then they go and spread them among the people. For example, Ibn Arabi saw the Shiites in the form of pigs. In fact, he saw… Iblis showed him the Shiites in the form of pigs. Or he saw that the position of Abu Bakr, Umar and Uthman is higher than the position of the Commander of the Believers Ali (A), or that Umar is ma’asum, blameless. Or he writes in Fusus al-Hikam that at the beginning of the month of Muharram he saw the Messenger of Allah (S) in a dream, who gave him this book, that is, Fusus al-Hikam. Someone will say that Iblis cannot assume the form of the Messenger of Allah (S). This is true. But it happens that these unfortunates see Iblis in a dream, who takes the form of some figure of light for them, and they think that this is the Messenger of Allah (S). And there is no doubt that Ibn Arabi saw Iblis, who revealed this book to him, as well as all his other writings.
In general, there is such an interesting point that baffles all historians and anthropologists. This is that in completely different societies, separated from each other by time and space, so that any contacts between them are excluded, there are the same rites, symbols, beliefs and rituals. As if they are all connected to some single network that inspires them with all this.
In all primitive, so-called “primitive” societies, we always find two things – music and intoxicating drinks. Where even a spoon has not been invented, this is still there. In Africa, villages were discovered where people do not even know clothes. But there are always two things – music and intoxication. And in the most varied forms. So, there is one center, such a “wi-fi”, from where they get it.
Ethnographer Berezkin writes, I will quote: “A number of foreign scientists have drawn attention to the striking ethnographic parallels between this continent (i.e. South America) and Melanesia (an island region in the western Pacific Ocean). The tribes of South America and Melanesia, located thousands of kilometers apart, separated by the vast water space of the Pacific Ocean, are not similar to each other either racially or linguistically, which excludes a common origin. And yet, human sacrifices were accompanied by absolutely identical rituals and ceremonies: the summoning of demons with flutes and trumpets, the prohibition of women from looking at sacred musical instruments, the violation of which was punishable by death, the obligatory donning of terrible masks of wood or leather on the participants of these mysteries, and the carrying out of the “banners of the Sunˮ with skulls depicted on them, which occupied a central place in the entire action.” How can this be explained? This can only be explained by the common influence of Satan on both. As if they were connected to a single network. What kind of network is this? The network of Iblis.
